Teaching in School

Volunteers participating in the Teaching English Program will teach English at local Nepali public or private schools which are short of staff and are in need of regular volunteers. Starting with basics of the language, the kids can be delighted if they are able to learn simple, short sentences which enable them to understand English and express themselves in the same language. Volunteers mainly assist the local staff of the schools and evolve new ways of teaching in a play way method. Whatever activity you would be doing – be it playing games, dancing, going to a picnic or outing – your language of communication would be English and the kids would pick up the language naturally. You are also welcome to participate in other activities of the school such as sports, music, and arts.

Volunteer in School for Children in Capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu district. The project is in largely in primary school, lower secondary school and Secondary school (for the specific volunteer on based on volunteer efficacy) for children in Kathmandu. The school has limited resources and depends a lot on volunteers for support. Due to limited resources, the school authorities cannot afford to employ good English speaking teachers. Volunteers play a key role here by Teaching English to the students.

The children in the school are taught English, Nepali, Mathematics, Physical Education and other activities.. The volunteers can teach English, music or paintings in the primary school or in the kindergarten school according to your preference and teaching skills.

The school starts at 10am in the morning and volunteers can work for around 3-4 hours daily. Volunteers can also work for extended hours if they want.

Project Location The project placement is located in the capital city of Kathmandu. The city is the political, educational and cultural Center of the country and as such it is rich in historical sites and important government and cultural institutions. The city now boasts of little infrastructure and is now one of the most visited tourist locations in Kathmandu.

The village shows the true picture of Nepal. Enjoy with cool environment, open area, and entertainment in natural world. Hills and mountain add the excitement to the volunteer. Forest and river are attraction of village volunteer. Playing with kids in school time as well before and after school time makes your journey memorable. Living with joint family and introduce with village life is most remarkable event for volunteer. Enjoy with Nepali taste of homemade local wine and local hens are also extraordinary things of Village volunteer.

Village volunteer has another aspect. We can guaranty of security in village also.  We will provide room to the volunteer and other material for cooking but you should cook yourself.
