Volunteer in school in Kathmandu

Volunteer in School for Children in Capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu district. The project is in largely in primary school, lower secondary school and Secondary school (for the specific volunteer on based on volunteer efficacy) for children in Kathmandu. The school has limited resources and depends a lot on volunteers for support. Due to limited resources, the school authorities cannot afford to employ good English speaking teachers. Volunteers play a key role here by Teaching English to the students.

The children in the school are taught English, Nepali, Mathematics, Physical Education and other activities.. The volunteers can teach English, music or paintings in the primary school or in the kindergarten school according to your preference and teaching skills.

The school starts at 10am in the morning and volunteers can work for around 3-4 hours daily. Volunteers can also work for extended hours if they want.

Project Location

The project placement is located in the capital city of Kathmandu. The city is the political, educational and cultural Centre of the country and as such it is rich in historical sites and important government and cultural institutions. The city now boasts of little infrastructure and is now one of the most visited tourist locations in Kathmandu.

During your Free Time

Volunteers are free on weekends and have time to explore the city and its tourist areas. Kathmandu has an efficient public transportation system which includes the subway, buses and taxis. The most popular tourist spots are Durbar Square, patan as well Bhaktapur, Temple of PashupatiNath, National Museum, Summer Palace and Silk Market.

Village Volunteer

Village volunteer is another interesting and amusing project of PAC-Nepal. Where volunteer get actual and natural service. The village is beautiful in nature, everything is pure, and people are kind and helpful, respectable, honor and love like. They always wait for welcome you. The village shows the true picture of Nepal. Enjoy with cool environment, open area, and entertainment in natural world. Hills and mountain add the excitement to the volunteer. Forest and river are attraction of village volunteer. Playing with kids in school time as well before and after school time makes your journey memorable. Living with joint family and introduce with village life is most remarkable event for volunteer. Enjoy with Nepali taste of homemade local wine and local hens are also extraordinary things of Village volunteer.

Village volunteer has another aspect. The volunteer who interested to join volunteer in Teaching in school, youth development, women empowerment, adult education, child education should courage to live in village. We can guaranty of security in village also.  We will provide room to the volunteer and other material for cooking but you should cook yourself. Even you should share the bathroom and toilets to others.

In low cast we can provide them service in volunteer. Although we are trying very hard to keep our costs down because it realizes volunteers are making a big sacrifice and have saved for a long time to come to Nepal.

Fees for Teaching Volunteer in School

Program Fees Include:

Airport Pickup:

Volunteers are picked up from the Tribhuwan International Airport by our staff. Transport to the placement,

Orientation:

All volunteers are provided with an orientation by the local coordinator before starting their project work. The Orientation session covers areas like local transportation, volunteer safety, project introduction, and local markets.

Food and Lodging:

Volunteers are provided accommodation and main meal along the placement in the guest house, we also provide you flat. We can serve you the meat 2 times in a day. If you are interested to cook yourself we will provide you all the necessary material for meal. Accommodation is provided on a sharing basis with other volunteers also. In-country support:

24 hours support provided by our local staff. You will be provided with the contact details of the local coordinator and staff that will be contactable 24 hours once you are in country.

Sight see:

We will visit you the famous place of valley like Bhaktapur Durbar, Patan Durbar, Swyambhunath, Pashupatinath, and other famous place of kathmandu , Bouddhnath , kumari Ghar and its impotance as well as history.

Language of Nepali and others:

You will get the special class of Nepali language for 1 hour in a week. If you are interested we can provide you special Nepali language class but you should pay extra for that.

Cultural/orientation Course:

 Our Staff provide you the Nepali cultural course like Newari culture, tamang culture, brahmin culture and other casts and their cultural aspect and their importance as well.  

 Pre-departure information:

After we receive full and final payment all participants are provided by a pre-departure information booklet by e-mail which will have all vital information about your program. The Pre Departure Information Booklet provides the complete details of the country, project locations, Visas, Immunizations, and Things to pack list, Accommodations, Contact Information etc.
